No Desire To Have Children

I have absolutely, positively no desire whatsoever to have children.

People make other people think that having children is the only way you are successful, happy and purposeful in life, which is wrong.

To me, human beings aren't here to reproduce at will and the planet isn't equipped to hold an infinite amount of beings. This isn't relevant to the average person I suppose.

Which reminds me, why do we say "congratulations" to someone who is pregnant? Congratulations on having sex? I mean, if you're financially well off, loving and moral a small congrats might do, I guess, but not really. I find congratulations an odd thing to say. ANYONE can get pregnant (excluding those with medical issues), you just spread your legs.

The number reason I'm not having children is my freedom. I couldn't imagine not being able to get in my car in the evening to go for a drive and clear my head, because I had a child I had to either bring with me or leave with a babysitter.

If I had a desire to raise children I'd adopt or become a foster parent. Lots of kids born into horrible situations they do not deserve. I think the people that take kids in that aren't biologically theirs deserve the praise.

I'm not having kids because they're expensive, they're a ton of work and, honestly, I couldn't take the chance of that child being picked on the way I was throughout school.
